Alcoleja is a small and smart village with its origin from the Moor era, situated on the Aitana Mountain, close to the Mediterranean coast which gives you the perfect place to enjoy sea and mountain.
The village suddenly appears at the basement of a cliff and shows us its uniform architecture and interesting medieval centre formed by the Marquis of Malferit’s palace (15th century). Its inhabitants, people dedicated during centuries to the agriculture, have kept their traditional way of life and their culinary skills.
